Today is update day
Gosh, the last month has been fast and crazy and faster and crazier; plus, through it all, we have hit some bumps in life, and Largo and I got pretty sick. Derailed our AT training a bit, but we always catch back up as it is how we roll. A month ago, we were getting ready to conclude our first group trip of 2024 in India, and here we are today, less than two weeks away from heading to our second and final group trip of the year, a speaking event, and then the HIKE of our century!!!! Life is silly and crazy and messy.
We were on a call with new coaching clients yesterday, and they asked us how far in advance we usually have our travel plans penciled in. Our answer was that we are typically on a three-year plan unless something happens and we decide to change gears, like Dec 4th, 2023, when we decided to upset the plan and take on a massive physical adventure. As a result of this decision, it has been hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and seven days a week of work, school, work, training, etc, since then. Big dreams don’t happen by chilling out. Are we tired? Yes, but we can rest when we get on the trail. How many crazies think hiking 8 hours a day is rest? US! And this is not our first prom. Our 44-day Camino hike felt like a 5-star vacation, and we still worked 5+ hours daily. I guess it is what you consider to be a vacation. Time away from my computer is a vacation for us. I am sure a lot of you would agree.
Thank you for your Appalachian Trail support
So many of you have sent us a message here about meeting up on the trail. So many of you have sent us a gift off our AT hike wishlist. THANK YOU! Today is the last day for the wishlist, but we will keep the form to meet up with us on the trail open until we fill up each state. We are so damn excited to meet you in person. Crazy! And finally!
All 2025 group trips are on sale
Using coupon code AMMU8HJQ, you can get a $300 discount off any 2025 group trip until Wednesday. The full itinerary for all of our trips can be viewed here. So far, we have five trips and may add two more in a couple of months. We look forward to meeting you on one of our amazing adventures. Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out via email at jessica@worldtowning.com.
Coaching Clients
Since life is about to get really crazy, we have decided that we will no longer take on new coaching clients. If you have not scheduled your first coaching client chat as of tomorrow, you will need to wait until October to become a client. Yes, you can book it today for a future day, just as long as it is on our calendar as of tomorrow or going forward. We will have limited time on the trail, so we will need to focus on our patrons we meet with each month, our current coaching clients, and anyone new who books by tomorrow for a future date. I wish we could accommodate everyone, but we also want to ensure you are getting what we agreed to give you and our full attention.
The WHY Matters
Another big thank you for all the love. I can’t believe it took us five years to launch this, and now it feels like we can’t live without it. We love sharing and engaging with all of you, so thank you for the warm welcome into a new genre.
We aim to reach 100 5-star ratings on all podcast platforms and 100 written reviews on Apple podcasts by the time we start our AT hike at the end of March. Can you help us?
Please take 5 minutes to do the following if you have not already.
Follow us wherever you are listening
Follow “The WHY Matters” on Apple, Spotify, Audible and others. This helps us, and you will never miss a podcast once they are released.
Leave us a 5-star rating and review
Could you write something about the podcast, us as hosts, etc. This is HUGE! Some platforms only let you give stars, and others let you write something.
And then tell your friends
Please share us with anyone you think might find value in it and share it on your social media platforms! Don’t forget to tag us, WorldTowning.
Ok, it’s Saturday night (almost) here in Paris, and we agreed to step away from our computers and go for a walk tonight, so it is time for me to hit publish. So much has been happening, and I just wanted to wrap it up for all of you as I am getting dozens of questions each day about the Wish list link, the podcast link and name, something about a group trip, etc. Although I don’t mind responding, I figure if several are asking, others have the same question, so I wrapped it all up with a bow and put it here—one-stop shopping.
Have a fabulous weekend, everyone. xoxo
Jess
